On March 22, 2016, Unified Patents filed for inter partes review of U.S. Patent 8,402,555, one of three patents owned and asserted by William Grecia against companies in various jurisdictions across America. Mr. Grecia claims the patents cover electronic payment technologies, among other things. Unified independently petitioned for IPR2016-00602, challenging all claims 1-26 of the patent.
