On March 30, 2016, Unified Patents Inc. submitted an amicus brief in support of Director Michelle Lee to the Supreme Court. In it, Unified argued that the USPTO properly adopted the practice of applying the broadest reasonable interpretation to claims before it in IPRs, in line with the standard the USPTO applies in all other available administrative procedures.
