On October 31, 2014 Forbes published an interview with Unified Patent's COO Shawn Ambwani titeld "Combat Your Fear Of Non-Practicing Entities." The interview discussed Unified's unique approached to deterring non-practicing entities (NPEs) who assert low quality patents against companies both large and small. Mr. Ambwani was quoted as saying "Unified offers a deterrent service on behalf of a strategic technology area but, unlike other solutions, never monetizes a settlement between operating companies and NPEs." The article also announced Unified's partnership with Traklight, a company that offers simple, affordable, self-service online IP solutions.
