Unified Brands announces that it has, in partnership with Roku, filed a second District Court trademark infringement action against over 125 online counterfeiters on February 1, 2022 to enjoin and stop the sales of counterfeit goods on online marketplaces. Sales of counterfeit goods is a huge and growing problem for American businesses. As stores have migrated from physical locations to e-commerce sites – a move accelerated by the pandemic – online sales of counterfeit goods has become a multi-trillion dollar problem for American businesses.
Working with Unified Brands on regular enforcement activity ensures that counterfeiters now know selling fake Roku remotes will lead to substantial monetary losses, not just losing a listing. This is the second filing for Roku against infringers in Unified’s ongoing efforts to deter counterfeit product sales.
