On February 28, 2023, Unified Patents filed an ex parte reexamination proceeding against U.S. Patent 9,137,830, owned and asserted by Optis Wireless Technology, LLC, an NPE and Brevet Capital entity. The ‘830 patent is generally directed to reducing collision while reporting control information in radio communications between a mobile station (i.e., any user equipment capable of performing radio transmission) and a base station.
