The patent is owned by Sanderling Management Ltd., an NPE., and relates to forwarding a processing function, such as an overlay, to a user's mobile image processing application when the user's mobile device indicates a certain GPS reading. The patent is owned by DivX, LLC, a subsidiary of well-known NPE, Fortress Investment Group. The '792 patent relates to encoding and decoding multimedia files having at least one video track and at least one audio track and had been asserted against Netflix and Hulu in district court.

On March 10, 2021, Unified Patents added a new PATROLL contest, with a $3,000 cash prize, seeking prior art on at least claim 51 of U.S. Patent 7,224,678. The patent is owned by Stingray IP Solutions, LLC, a subsidiary of Acacia Research Group, an NPE.

The '678 patent generally relates to wireless LAN with intrusion detection features. It has been asserted against TP-Link Technologies, Signify, and Samsung in the Eastern District of Texas.
